All About How to Help This Amazing Non-Profit in Eugene
For 12 years, Bags of Love has supported children of Lane County suffering from abuse, neglect, poverty, or homelessness.
A Bag of Love provides every child they connect with the essentials: clothing, toiletries, toys, books, school supplies, and a handmade quilt or fleece blanket. For a child in crisis, a Bag of Love delivers support and comfort at the time he or she is most vulnerable.
In their founding year, they distributed 25 Bags of Love to children in need. By the end of 2020, that number had increased to more than 3,000.

What We Can Do
Our NAWIC chapter has been active with Bags of Love during our WIC Week drive for the last few years. It is something that is dear to our hearts and we have had a blast helping out the organization in the past. This year things look a little different and we can't get as hands on as we would like to. There are still ways we can help, buy hosting a donation barrel, donating new or gently used goods, or just by getting the Bags of Love name out there!
Our NAWIC member, Cassandra Dare is heading up a drive for the organization to get some more items in the doors for the children.
